Ducted Split Systems

Heat Pump (All-Electric) Systems

Ductless "Mini-Split" Systems

The most common residential system: Split systems are comprised of an outdoor air conditioner and and indoor coil and furnace (gas or electric), utilizing duct work to distribute conditioned air throughout the home.

Ductless "Mini-Split" Systems

Mini-splits are perfect for homes without the space or accommodations for duct work. These systems work by combining outdoor units to indoor air handlers, which can be wall, ceiling or floor-mounted models.

Package Units

Heat Pump (All-Electric) Systems

Heat Pump (All-Electric) Systems

Package units are an "all in one" type of system, where all heating and cooling components are housed in one outdoor cabinet. They can be installed on the ground or on the roof of a building.

A heat pump is an "all in one" electric system that heats and cools by moving heat. The cooling function is similar to a standard air conditioner, absorbing heat from inside and releasing it outdoors. The heating mode reverses the process.

Why is Maintenance Important?

  • A well-maintained Heating and AC system works efficiently - it uses less energy and saves money on your electricity bill
  • Your HVAC equipment will last longer with regular tune-ups. The average life span of a central air conditioner is approximately 10 to 12 years, but preventative maintenance can extend it
  • Maintenance prevents minor issues from spiraling out of control. During a visit, our skilled maintenance technicians can identify and address minor problems before they worsen, leading to a future breakdown
  • Preventative maintenance gives you peace of mind!

How Often is it Needed?

HVAC contractors and manufacturers alike recommend professional bi-annual maintenance - once in the spring and once in the fall. This allows both the heating and cooling components of the system to be tested, tuned and inspected as the seasons change.

What Happens During a Maintenance Visit?

  • During a spring maintenance visit, a specialized maintenance technician will inspect all components related to cooling your indoor air. Using a detailed checklist, they will verify that all parts and systems are in working order, and notify you of any concerns they find in the process. You'll even receive a copy of the checklist along with photos and detailed notes.
  • During a fall maintenance, a similar process will be followed, but in regard to the heating components.
